Collaborators for stability monitoring and certification projects

No laboratory alone is able to perform all measurements needed for characterising the wide range of reference materials IRMM offers. IRMM is therefore looking for collaborators for stability monitoring and certification projects.

Experts for Certification Advisory Panels (CAPs)

The IRMM is renewing the appointment of experts for Certification Advisory Panels (CAPs), which participate in the review process during certification of reference materials. The CAPs will be re-established for the following fields of measurements:

  • elements and inorganic ions including isotopes
  • small organic molecules and operationally defined parameters in food analysis
  • biological macromolecules and biological/biochemical parameters
  • physical/physicochemical properties

Experts will be officially nominated for a period of three years (extendable) starting in 2011. They should be prepared to attend meetings at IRMM and correspond via e-mail. A panel will meet on average one to two times, but a maximum of 5 times per year.

Eligibility criteria:

The candidate must have:

  • an experience in analytical quality assurance of at least 5 years
  • an expertise in the measurements and testing field of the CAP selected of at least 10 years
  • an expertise in statistical evaluation of measurement data of at least 5 years

As an expert, we can pay you an honorarium plus normal transport costs, in accordance with the rules for remuneration of experts assisting the European Commission.
