Measurements of Hiroshima steel samples help understanding of exposure effects

Scientists at the Joint Research Centre in Geel, Belgium have performed extremely low-level measurements of radioactivity in old steel samples from Hiroshima. These latest measurements provide robust support to Hiroshima dosimetry calculations, which are crucial for man's knowledge about the effects of radiation on the human body.

Latest news from the Turkey metrology project

The Fifth VERMI Young Researchers Workshop on the Standardisation of Radionuclides took place in Ankara, Turkey 1-6 November. This workshop was the first in a series of many training events to be carried out during the three-year project.
